Hamilton Hall publishes this website to describe a search-fund and succession practice devoted to safeguarding the legacy of a healthy business. This policy explains what information the site handles, how that information is used, and the choices available to you. It applies to thehamiltonhall.com and the pages published with it. It does not apply to third-party websites linked from these pages. Those sites have their own practices.
What we collect
If you write through the contact form, we receive the name, email address, message, and company name if you choose to provide one. We use that information to read your note and reply. Please do not send sensitive personal information, account passwords, or government identification numbers through the form.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare may record standard technical logs, including IP address, date and time, the page requested, referring address, and browser or device details. Those logs are used to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the site.
We use contact details to respond to inquiries about succession, a possible transition, or a related introduction. We use technical logs to keep the site available and to look into abuse or faults. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use contact details or hosting logs as a marketing database.
We keep contact messages for as long as needed to correspond with you and to keep a record of that conversation. We delete or de-identify them when they are no longer needed for that purpose, unless a longer period is required by law. Hosting logs follow the retention schedule of our hosting provider.
This site is meant for adults considering a business transition, and for people making an introduction. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent information through the form, email jeff@thehamiltonhall.com and we will delete it.
We use ordinary care to protect information in transit and in the tools that receive the form. No website transmission can be promised perfectly secure.
Tools we use
- We count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across sites. It records the page, referrer, browser type and country, in aggregate.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details when your browser requests them.
- When you use the contact form, what you type (and your email address, if you give it) is sent through Web3Forms, which delivers it to us by email.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or when disclosure is needed to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Hamilton Hall and the people who use this site.
Cookies
Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookies. The pages and scripts on this site do not set cookies. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may set a strictly necessary cookie to deliver and secure the pages. The site does not set advertising cookies.
Your choices and requests
If you are a California resident, or you live where a similar privacy law applies, you may ask us to:
- Tell you the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Delete personal information, subject to records we are required to keep.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email jeff@thehamiltonhall.com. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you, or from an authorized agent where the law allows one, before we act on it. We aim to respond within 45 days, and we will tell you if we need more time.

We may update this policy by posting a new version on this page and changing the date above.
